Panama’s Ambassador-designate Eduardo Young Virzi Visits MARITECH

On Friday, 14 March 2025, Maritech Maritime Training and Assessment Center welcomed a distinguished guest—Ambassador-designate Eduardo Young Virzi of the Republic of Panama. Having arrived in Manila in January this year to assume his post as Ambassador and Consul General of Panama to the Philippines, Ambassador Young Virzi's visit marked an important gesture of goodwill and cooperation between Panama and the Philippine maritime community.
The courtesy visit highlighted the longstanding maritime partnership between the two nations, with Panama being home to one of the world's largest ship registries and the Philippines recognized globally for its skilled seafarers. During the tour, Ambassador Young Virzi was introduced to MARITECH's state-of-the-art training simulators and facilities, as well as its efforts in upholding international standards in maritime education and safety.
Leaders of MARITECH expressed their appreciation for Panama's continued recognition of Filipino maritime professionals and reaffirmed their commitment to producing competent and globally competitive seafarers.
The visit not only strengthened diplomatic ties but also emphasized the shared vision of enhancing maritime safety, training, and collaboration in an ever-evolving global industry.
